Hedge Funds

Hedge funds offer the potential for attractive returns, diversification benefits and upside regardless of market conditions, sometimes allowing investors to profit even when the market is declining. They can also offer variable market exposure, and can assume significant short positions, which means the fund can profit from a security’s declining value. This can help the fund add value to a portfolio regardless of market conditions. Hedge funds also offer diversification benefits for investors since their returns may not track traditional investments such as stocks and bonds.

Caravel has access to several very superior, prize-winning hedge funds which can form part of a HNW client portfolio.

Private Credit

We have researched a number of higher-yield notes and bonds issued offshore by private companies seeking to raise capital. We have strict criteria for the inclusion of a note or bond in our range:

Criteria

Unblemished track records – perfect record of payments of interest and capital invested
Structural safety
Sustainable business model and excellence of management
Press exposure must be spotless

Benefits

Interest rates from 10% to 14% per annum, depending on bond or note; investment period and sum invested.
One, two and three year investment periods
Quarterly, half-yearly and annual coupon payments

Courtesy of our partners at Kingsbury & Partners in Dubai, we are able to provide multipage Risk/Reward analyses for the private interest notes and bonds we carry. Thus, full disclosure and transparency can be offered for an asset type that inherently carries a higher risk of partial or full capital loss. We search for and bring to our investors the gold nuggets amongst this asset class.

UK Social Housing

  • Low-risk, lower-entry level UK property ownership for rental income.
  • Pays 9% pa on the value of the housing unit bought, paid monthly
  • A very secure return on investment in a hard currency
  • British property ownership
  • No furnishing, management, tenant or maintenance involvement

Compared to private housing investments, social housing presents unique opportunities. The government or local authorities supports the rent, with Housing Associations covering any rent gaps. This ensures stable, government-backed income for investors. Additionally, unlike traditional rental agreements directly with tenants, your agreement is with an organisation offering longer leases (up to twenty-five years) which cover repair and maintenance.

Social housing in Britain provides a range of accommodations for those in need. Social housing in the UK is in very high demand due to the very high number of people on the waiting list. The lease agreement with the local Council’s housing provider and high demand allows for long-term occupancy levels, so you won’t need to worry about your investment property sitting unoccupied.
