At Caravel Partners, an Acceptance Letter is issued to a new client for signature.
It confirms that the investor has received and read, and is happy with, a recommended investment product or asset; that he or she has been shown or had explained the main terms and conditions of that specific product or asset, including costs and any risks, and that, being satisfied with the recommendation, that the investor is proceeding with the investment.
This communication is crucial in finalizing the agreement and ensuring a smooth investment process.
It is also nowadays a standard element of an Advisory firm’s compliance and regulatory process, and forms a standard part of the client on-boarding process.
